Research interests are focused on modulation of immune responses mainly using expression of the enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) to influence T cell specific activity. This involves in vitro and in vivo studies of standard, IDO transgenic and IDO knock out mice strains using immunization, skin transplantation, graft versus host disease, adoptive transfer and diabetes as indicators of the consequences of situations where the responses can be modulated by IDO.
